“The journey is more beautiful than the destination.”
I graduated with a 5.7 CGPA—a number that seemed to follow me around like a shadow. When I gave my first CAT attempt, I managed a 99.4 percentile. I thought that would be enough to open doors.
But the doors didn’t budge.
I didn’t receive a single call from the BLACKI IIMs. Not one.
That moment broke something in me. After giving everything I had, I still wasn’t “good enough” on paper. So I gave up.
I stopped solving questions. I unfollowed CAT pages. I packed away my notes and told myself—maybe this isn’t for me.
But one person didn’t give up on me—Sahil Sir from Quantifiers.
Even when I’d mentally quit, he’d check in with a simple message:
“You’ve got it in you.”
“Let’s talk.”
“This isn’t the end unless you let it be.”
That consistent belief… eventually got through to me. And something in me clicked.
I decided to give CAT one more shot—this time, not for the world, not for validation, but for me.
When I returned to the battlefield, I knew one thing: this attempt had to be different. And here’s how I approached it, with Quantifiers guiding me at every step:
I went back to the basics—literally.
Quantifiers’ concept-building videos helped me re-learn Quant and LRDI from scratch. No shortcuts. Just pure clarity. Even topics I once feared—like Time-Speed-Distance or Puzzles—started making sense.
In my first attempt, I took a lot of mocks but didn’t analyze them well. This time, it was different.
Quantifiers taught me to:
– Identify why I was making errors (silly mistake or concept gap?)
– Track accuracy vs. attempts
– Build sectional stamina—especially for VARC, which was my weak zone
I took one mock every 3-4 days, and spent the next day just analyzing it.
Every single day had a purpose.
– 2 hours of Quant sets
– 1 RC + 2 VA exercises
– 2 LRDI sets (timed, mixed difficulty)
Quantifiers’ daily targets and practice PDFs made consistency easier. I wasn’t just doing more, I was doing it right.
Sahil Sir would often remind us:
“CAT is not just about knowledge. It’s about keeping your head cool when the timer’s ticking.”
That mindset helped me avoid burnout. I journaled my progress. I celebrated small wins. I learned to enjoy the grind.
99.97 percentile.
If you’re someone who’s doubting yourself—because of your academics, past failures, or one bad mock—just know: your story isn’t over.
Mine almost was. But then I turned the page.
