The Common Admission Test, or CAT, is one of India’s toughest MBA entrance exams. Scores above the 90th percentile are required by top B-schools. Of the 2.88 lakh candidates who took the CAT this year, only around 5,500 seats are available in the country’s top IIMs and fewer than 10,000 seats in the top 30 MBA colleges. This leaves over 2.78 lakh aspirants exploring other options. While some opt to attempt the exam again, most aspirants seek admission in the A-grade MBA colleges accepting scores between 50% to 70%.
Fortunately, there are several good management colleges in India that service this percentage range. The colleges provide good education, satisfactory placements, reasonable fees, strong alumni networks, and lively campus life. The right attitude, coupled with proper hard work, can result in their career success equivalent to those of IIMs over some time.

Based on CAT scores, GD/WAT/PI performance, academics, and work experience.
A 60-70 percentile CAT score can also give opportunities to join good MBA colleges. Such colleges impart quality education, industry exposure, and placement support in high caliber. Proper research and decision-making while checking for accreditation, placements, and curriculum is the secret to a successful MBA program.
